Our products are traceable throughout the entire production chain, in order to guarantee food safety and limiting the risk of contamination. As an organization we are cognizant of EU legislation on food safety, General Food Law (EC) 178/2002).
Hygiene is of primary importance along the production stage from the farm to transporting of the product and its packaging. Employees, particularly those involved in the packaging of the product are provided with appropriate protective clothing. Fresh Approach also ensures that they are current on Public Health and Safety certificates.
Control & Testing
The company has put in place a number of controls to check food standards and address any non-conformities before they affect our products. In the field our Lead Agronomist with his team of Technical Assistants carry out farm/out growing monitoring to check on the use of correct pesticides and farming practices. They do regular farm audits and provide technical support to our farmers. Not only do we subject our food products to official government controls by KEPHIS (Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service); as a company we also carry out periodic testing of our products by SGS Ltd, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification Company as an extra measure to reduce risk to our clients.
